Middle School Choice

There are 2 parts to Middle School Choice Process: 

Enrollment: January 8-March 21, 2025

New or returning to 菠菜网lol正规平台 students must complete enrollment online with support from Elementary School of Residence

1.  Login to ParentVUE or create ParentVUE account (via enrollment tab)
2. Click on Online Registration tab
3. Complete pre-enrollment questions 
4. Upload documentation including birth certificate, proofs of residency, IEP / 504 info if needed. 
5. Verify enrollment with Elementary School of Residence

Application:   March 24 - April 4, 2024.  Login to ParentVUE and make school selections 

Please contact your student’s  school site and ask for assistance.

No. If you wish to attend your Middle School of Residence (MSOR), then select your MSOR only. Any other MSK8 selections mean that you are willing to accept placement at those selections.  You may be placed at your MSOR if there is no available space at your selected choices.

* Please note that transportation is not provided and it is the parent’s responsibility to get their child to school. You may be placed at your MSOR if there is no available space at your other school choices.

YES.  Residents of the K8 school will have priority.  Students that  are attending a K8 school on School of Choice will have second priority but ONLY if they complete the SOC application and select the K8 school first on the application.  Students attending 菠菜网lol正规平台 on an IDP will be placed AFTER 菠菜网lol正规平台 residents have been placed.

Address changes must be updated by your current school by March 21, 2025.  Address changes AFTER March 21, 2025 cannot be guaranteed for the School of Choice process. 

If you address changes after March 21, please contact the Secondary Schools Office for further assistance after the School of Choice process.

1. ParentVue account has not been activated/registered.
2. System is busy. Try again later.

Results vary annually and are dependent on the number of applicants per site (For example, 87%  of last year’s 5th graders received their first preferred school).  Residents will receive placement priority and some schools are more impacted than others.  Please speak to your counselor about your selections.

Students need to complete the school of choice application.  Placement is based on the available space at the school and on the offering of an appropriate program at each school.  Please contact your case carrier for information on program offerings at each school.

Students may make selections at any middle school, however not all schools offer the appropriate program.  The Special Education Office places students based on available space and appropriate program and transportation needs.*  Please contact your student’s SPED case carrier for questions and support. 

*Transportation is NOT provided for any School of Choice selection.
